Monique Goossens: A sampler

By Christa Terry

Amsterdam based designer Monique Goossens creates playful, homey art pieces that are delightful in their unexpectedness.

Expect the unexpected

Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find out much about Ms. Goossens. Her web site is nothing more than a placeholder for what I imagine will be some wonderful content. For now, I’ve placed some photos of her lovely stuff below the cut.

A little color with your coffee?

I want that coffee maker so badly…failing that, I want to replicate it using my own beat-up Mr. Coffee.

One cup, five ears

Hard to miss when you’re grabbing for the first cup of joe of the morning.

I bet I could make this…but she did it first

This reminds me of the furniture my friends and I all used to have in our dorm rooms and first apartments. Except it’s way more fabulous than anything any of us every put together.

I never noticed that, Phyllis, but you’re right!

The table reminds me of the popsicle stick houses that kids make. Just makes you happy doesn’t it?
