A Convertible for Parents-to-Be
By Never teh BrideGetting knocked up means a lot of things. It means buying a whole lot of those plastic outlet covers. A future of furtive nookie reminiscent of one’s high school days. Learning to tolerate the smell of strained peas. It also means no more thinking seriously about buying a Smart Car convertible.

But wait — It’s not all spit up and self-sacrifice! Here’s a convertible that parents-to-be can get excited about. Okay, maybe not. But it sure beats buying a crib, a toddler bed, a big-kid bed, and a guest bed to replace that old twin bed your kid will take to his or her first studio apartment.

Wow! I think that’s the only convertible bed I’ve ever seen that a) worked at so many stages and b) looked that good in every variation.

I think that this is a great piece of furniture. Kids do grow so quickly and as a guest bed, it takes on a pretty good size.

This is elegant AND beautiful, functional AND fabulous! And yes, I would absolutely love to have it.
Somewhere in the dim dark recesses of the many boxes that were packed when I moved is a catalog, the name of which I cannot recall, but it too had a piece of foldable furniture: a truly elegant bed which folded up into a beautiful carved cabinet, Murphy-style. I still love that particular bed, but I can see this working in more places.
Well, I can almost see it working in more places; the link to it doesn’t seem to be working. I should be able to just click on the picture, yes? So where can I find this glorious piece of carpentry? Thanks, NtB!

I have no clue as to why it’s not working, La BellaDonna! But until I fix it, you can find it here.
