Too Calm? Just Right?

On one hand, I’m loving the way space is utilized in this small home office from Apartment Therapy. On the other hand, the pastels and light-colored woods are so calming that I have to wonder whether I’d fall asleep while blogging. The bright and cheery orange accents (esp. the adorable retro wall clock) might keep me awake for a while, but I think I’m the kind of person who needs the intense stimulation my glaringly cherry red home office provides.
Do you agree? Disagree? Hate pastel peach with a burning irrational passion?
Whoops! major typos in the last entry…
I just moved and went from an office that was dark cement countertops and “nacho cheese” colored walls with a magenta/purple glaze over the top. It was dark and jarring and I focus about equally well in my new office that has the pale yellow/pale wood/white thing going on. The main difference is that everybody seems drawn to my calming space and invades my privacy. At least this office has a door and lock!
Your office sounds… intriguing. But jarring, certainly. I think I, too, would prefer your new calming space!
