Too Calm? Just Right?
By Christa TerryOn one hand, I’m loving the way space is utilized in this small home office from Apartment Therapy. On the other hand, the pastels and light-colored woods are so calming that I have to wonder whether I’d fall asleep while blogging. The bright and cheery orange accents (esp. the adorable retro wall clock) might keep me awake for a while, but I think I’m the kind of person who needs the intense stimulation my glaringly cherry red home office provides.
Do you agree? Disagree? Hate pastel peach with a burning irrational passion?

Whoops! major typos in the last entry…
I just moved and went from an office that was dark cement countertops and “nacho cheese” colored walls with a magenta/purple glaze over the top. It was dark and jarring and I focus about equally well in my new office that has the pale yellow/pale wood/white thing going on. The main difference is that everybody seems drawn to my calming space and invades my privacy. At least this office has a door and lock!

Your office sounds… intriguing. But jarring, certainly. I think I, too, would prefer your new calming space!
