Crazy Making?

I was browsing the slideshows at domino when I found this:

At first it struck me as a creative and fun way to use old photographs as decor. Then I realized that it would drive me absolutely out of my mind because it looks so dorm roomy.

    I think if they’d all been framed like that, it would be too cluttered. At the same time, if they’d been laminated into a poster (or printed onto one) it would look either kitschy or overdone.

    That said, I kind of feel the same way you do. It would be cool to make a border out of them, but the whole wall is a little busy. (Not to mention insecure – I can imagine the cat going to town on it!)

    Not for me, this idea: Impossible to protect, clean, pass around, move easily, or even see without contortions. Pretentious and cutesy with no redeeming feature.

    I am right there with you, Ten. What are you supposed to do? Laminate them? Especially when you consider that this collage is in someone’s kitchen…
