I know this is going to make me sound like a big dork, but IF I had a big bathroom, I would want a large, LARGE bathtub like the one in Harry Potter, in the 4th movie. It has the intricate design of multiple water spouts that you can insert the bubbles or scents of your choosing into. It's really more like an indoor pool, but it would be wonderful!

I can only imagine the fluff and stray hairs hanging off all that detail. My idea of a spa bathroom is more Japanese--I saw it in Sunset magazine once.

A completely tiled room with a drain in the floor had a showerhead, stool, and bucket with a sponge for washing yourself, then in the back of the room a wooden soaking tub with beautiful steps up so you could get into it (you sat in it fairy upright). In the very front a toilet stall and pedestal sink ensured the other necessities could enjoy the calmness of the bathing area.

i think if the bathroom is that big then the house needs to be huge, otherwise i'd be kicking myself for wasting all of that space on the bathroom, a place i don't tend to spend much time or host company in that often.

also, i definitely agree, if we had room for two tubs of that size i would much prefer to cuddle with my husband in one huge tub.

finally, as someone who really hates cleaning, i would not like to keep that huge room looking shiny and new.

so i guess i say i'll keep my tiny house with my normal sized bathroom until i can afford a huge house, tub, and cleaning service. so, forever.

The one thing that I dislike about my current house is the size of the master-bath. It's cavernous which means that it doesn't warm up sufficiently in winter for my tastes; it's difficult to keep clean. My vanity is 5 or more paces away from the shower, so I drip water on the floor and make things slippery whenever I get out, and the whole thing is just too large. I like sufficient but compact bathrooms.
