A Little Bit Country

Your home can be a little bit country without animal heads on the walls, lots of dark exposed wood, or being a little bit rock and roll. Just like you can be mod without plastic chairs or inflatable furniture. Not that there’s anything wrong with going a really rustic route.

This is a whole different kind of country — think French countryside, not American west — but there’s something rustic about it nonetheless. Perhaps it’s country for those who like all life’s little luxuries, regardless of locale. (via)

country decor

You can’t go wrong with an old fashioned country store display in a kitchen or hallway. Scour eBay for old tins, muffin pans, signs, and tools. Then hang them in casually put together groupings or display them on a vintage sideboard, preferably one that’s a little beat up.

Beadboard in blue paired with reds and yellows say it all in this cute as a button bathroom. (via)
