Yellow and Gray Still Hot at West Elm
By Christa TerryWest Elm, yay or nay? I’ve heard tell that their products are surprisingly chintzy, but at least their designs are original enough as modern furniture and home accessories go. I personally prefer vintage MCM, but then I have a steady supplier in the form of grandparents who are both stylish and almost always eager to give us stuff. For those who don’t and are also lacking in big monies, West Elm is a pretty good deal, in my opinion.
And they’re still rocking the yellow and gray palette, which I love for both weddings and home decor!

Or should I be tired of yellow and gray by now? I mean, it’s a combo that was being touted as the next hot palette this time last year, so it’s not like there has been any shortage of clothes or furnishings to satisfy my appetites. Maybe it’s just that my likes and dislikes last longer than trends possibly ever could?

I think everybody’s likes and dislikes last longer than trends. Which is good, because we’d all be going broke. I’m sure that blue and brown are no longer “in”, but I don’t really care…I like it, and I’m sure as heck not painting all of my walls all over again this soon.
